There is a Refugee Council in every federal state of Germany. Usually they also offer very competent counselling regarding asylum and migration.

There are migration counselling offices for adults in many cities. They offer free and independent counselling for persons who are older than 27 years in questions regarding your stay in Germany but also other topics. In order to find one close to you, you can search in Google for “Migrationsberatung für Erwachsene” and the name of your city or the closest bigger city.
For Persons up to the age of 27 years, there are counselling offices called Jugendmigrationsdienste in many cities. They too offer free and independent counselling to questions regarding your stay in Germany and other topics. You can find the closest Jugendmigrationsdienst here.

The Information Network Asylum and Migration has established an online database, where users can apply the systematic search to find the appropriate advice centre for refugees and migrants.

The homepage of the network Welcome to Europe provides you with contacts to selforganised refugee groups, counselling offices and other supporting groups for refugees and migrants.
